She is a lovely girl, very natural and just the right person to put parents at ease, ensuring we had a great holiday too.

Choosing the Right Nanny
The Internet has become a place for people to look for jobs as well as people to hire. It can also be the place for you to find the right nanny to take care of your precious child. You would not want to entrust the care of your child to a seemingly unreliable nanny, of course. That is why you have to be careful in selecting the perfect nanny service, especially when this is done online. If you have found the nanny who is worth a try, ask for a government-issued ID and require a formal job application. A formal application should contain the nanny's name, address, phone numbers, educational background and chronological job history. Confirm the name and address with the ID. If you see gaps, ask the candidate to "fill in the gaps." Ask further probing questions so that you can make sure the nanny can be trusted.
Another thing to consider is asking for references. The references should not be friends or family of the candidate. Instead, you can ask for previous customers the nanny has worked for. Then, personally speak to the references. Verify that they know the applicant. Further, interview methodically and thoroughly. Have the interview in a public area where there are lots of people. This can ensure your protection as well as the nanny's. Once you are done with the interview, schedule another one. Make the second a working interview. Speak with the nanny with the rest of your family around. Observe how the applicant interacts with your child. Hiring the right nanny may seem like a lot of work to do, but they are essential to have peace of mind when you are away from your child.
